Every Other Weekend

Every Other Weekend is a story of childhood memories exploring the feelings of growing up with separated parents. How can I bring to the page, the emotions recorded in memory?

How can I express the more complex and subtle feelings and thoughts I had as a child that don’t seem to want to be pinned down by word or image? How does one tell these stories? What makes it possible to connect with one’s self in order to know what we want to say and then to communicate these insights to others in a coherent, understandable way?

I also made an animation to accompany the book.
